Anastasia’s Ray

[…]Hey, I’ve got an idea! You know what I just thought of? It’s terrific! After all, you’re able not just to warm people with your ray at a distance, but to burn them too. You can even turn a stone into dust — you demonstrated that once. So what you should do is burn up the perpetrators of terrorist acts. Burn up the priests — along with all the demonic forces. You were telling me. I remember writing it down: ‘With my Ray I shall take but a moment to burn up the murk of age-old dogma. Stand not between the people and God …’ And so forth.
You remember those words of yours?”

—“Yes, I do.”

“Then what are you waiting for? Why don’t you burn them up? After all, you said that…”

—“I was talking about dogmas. I would never dare burn up people with my ray.”

“Even the masterminds behind acts of terrorism?”

—“Even with them I would not dare.”

“Why not?”

—“Think about what you are saying, Vladimir.”

“What’s there to think about? Everyone knows the terrorism masterminds and their accessories need to be destroyed, right away.

—“Armies of various countries have already been mobilized to this end. Special forces. People are dying. Their efforts are to no avail. They will never find and never destroy the real masterminds. They will never be able to stop terrorism that way.”

“All the more reason. If you can pinpoint and burn up the masterminds and their accessories in a flash, then do it. Burn them up!”

—“Vladimir, perhaps you might give some thought to — you might determine — just who are the masterminds’ accessories, and how many of them there are?”

“Well, sure, I could think about that. Only I doubt I’ll be able to come up with an answer. If you know who, tell me their names.”

—“Very well. One of the accessories to terrorism is none other than you, Vladimir — along with your neighbors, friends and acquaintances.”

“What? What are you saying, Anastasia? As for myself, and my friends too, I’m absolutely certain that we are not accessories.”

—“The lifestyle of most people, Vladimir, is fertile soil for terror, disease and all sorts of catastrophes. Is not someone who works in a factory producing machine guns and cartridges an accessory to killings?”

“If they manufacture weapons, well, maybe, indirectly but you were talking about me. And I don’t work in an arms factory.”

—“But you smoke, Vladimir.”

“Well, yes. But what’s that got to do with it?”

—“Smoking is harmful, hence it follows that you are terrorizing your own body”

“My own…? But we were talking about terrorizing other people…”

—“Why bring up other people right off? Everyone should carefully examine his own lifestyle. Especially those who live in cities. Do people who ride in motor cars not know what deadly gas their motor car is polluting the air with? Do people who live in large buildings divided up into a whole lot of flats not know that it is harmful and dangerous to live in these apartments? The way life is organized in big cities is aimed at destroying Man and disorienting Man in respect to natural space. The majority of people who live that way — they are the ones who are accessories to terrorism.”

“Well, let’s say you’re right. But now many are beginning to understand, and they’re going to change their lifestyle. So help people, burn up the masterminds of terrorism with that ray of yours.”

—“Vladimir, in order to carry out your request, I would have to charge my ray with a great deal of malicious energy capable of destroying Man.”

“So, what of it? Go ahead and do it. After all, this Man is a mastermind of terrorism.”

—“I understand that. But before I can aim malicious energy at another, I would need to concentrate and produce in myself a large amount of this energy. Afterward it can inject itself into me again or be scattered in particles among other people. Yes, I can destroy the High Priest, but his program will continue to operate. And evil will find another priest, and he will be even stronger than the one I destroyed.[…]

World Vegetarian Day

Today is World Vegetarian Day 2022, and in a month’s time it will be the turn for World Vegan Day 2022.

What is the connection between both?

There might be a couple of connections. On this post we will zoom in on this one: All vegans eat vegetarian food (not to be confused with ovo lacto vegetarian). But not all everyone eating vegetarian food are necessarily vegan.

It might sound like a riddle. Actually is a very simple concept.

Take this is as an invitation to download The Food Target brochure to learn (or relearn) the ropes. And also to remember that words matter.

The big question is: Will Community Food Forests be able to provide a complete, tasty, varied and nutritious Vegetarian food year around?

Answer: Of course NOT. Only a cooperative Worldwide Community Food Forest Network will accomplish that. Note: To be fair, not one permaculture project in a single private property is able to provide a complete, tasty, varied and nutritious food source year around no matter if it is an omnivore or vegetarian design.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Loquats (locally known as “Nísperos”)

I read somewhere that all the round and colorful decoration on a Christmas tree 🎄 represent the wishful thinking of seeing fruits again hanging on the trees once the winter have passed.

So these are just the first wave of the presents this loquat tree is giving us the day before Christmas.

Hey, Kids! Don’t try this at home 😉

Funny thing is this tree is most probably the result from a squirrel that dropped or buried the fruits seed in this narrow patch of soil. Such a fine example that “everyone gardens”.

JORGE’s TRANSCRIPT OF HARMONY STORY
MEXICO CITY, DECEMBER 29, 2019

NOTE: Harmony Story is a practice that can help us to envision the beautiful future that we have only imagined can be true. It is a way of bringing into the present something that we believe is in alignment with universal truth–a world where all life can thrive. Here are the instructions:

Step 1: Choose a project or goal or vision you are working on.

Step 2: Pick a date in the future. Go into the future as far as you would like. It depends on if you are looking to visualize short term goals or long term goals.

Step 3: Start speaking as if you are in the future, and things that you would like to have happened, have already happened.

Step 4: People can join in as if they are present with you in the future.

Step 5: Complete the story with a short appreciation, going around the circle and sharing what you appreciated about doing this process.

See this Harmony Story article for more info.

In my case, Jorge, I am co-creating a compassionate, healthy and thriving COMMUNITY FOOD FOREST WORLD NETWORK (Find out more at www.freefoodforfuture.org and www.noblepeacetribe.org).

Here is an example of how Jorge envision this project he is working on using the Harmony Story technique:

Cultivating Environments Full of Taste and Health

Make food tasty & nutritious again by growing its full potential in thriving environments.

“It is entirely possible that we could eat an amazing 300,000 plant species. However, the reality is that we only consume a tiny fraction of what is possible. Homo sapiens, which is the most cosmopolitan of all species and one that thrives by virtue of being a supreme generalist, survives, by routinely eating only about 200 plant species. Amazingly more than half of the calories and the proteins that we derive from plants are provided by just three crops: maize, rice, and wheat.”

Bees, Air Pollution and Environmental Day Actions

https://image.spreadshirtmedia.com/image-server/v1/compositions/13261656T842A2PC115119705PA1776PT17X34Y0S49/views/1,width=300,height=300,appearanceId=2,version=1440417743/bee-with-gas-mask-t-shirts-tote-bag.jpg

After one of the most terrible weeks of Air Pollution in Mexico City’s (YES! We are in Mexico) history, it is time to celebrate #WorldBeeDay today.

What is the link between air pollution and bees? (You might be wondering)

Let’s talk first about bees…

In order to produce 1 pound of honey, 2 million flowers must be visited. A hive of bees must fly 55,000 miles to produce a pound of honey. One bee colony can produce 60 to 100 pounds of honey per year. An average worker bee makes only about 1/12 teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.

Source: http://www.goldenblossomhoney.com/education_bees.php

As you might have noticed, the last piece of information comes from a honey company. I would dare to say that companies like this one are the most interested in taking actions to keeping bees alive. But for opposite reasons to those of vegans. (Read The honey industry)

Now, talking about air pollution. It’s consequences are not exclusive for humans. Air pollution is also thought to be affecting bees. Preliminary research shows that air pollutants interact with scent molecules released by plants which bees need to locate food. The mixed signals interfere with the bees ability to forage, making them slower and less effective at pollination.

According to the UN, here is how you can help taking action to #BeatAirPollution.

Decide what action you are going to take to #BeatAirPollution

Here are some examples:

  • Use public transport or car sharing, cycle or walk
  • Switch to a hybrid or electric vehicle and request electric taxis
  • Turn off the car engine when stationary
  • Reduce your consumption of meat and dairy to help cut methane emissions
  • Compost organic food items and recycle non-organic trash
  • Switch to high-efficiency home heating systems and equipment
  • Save energy: turn off lights and electronics when not in use
  • Choose non-toxic paints and furnishings

Source: https://www.worldenvironmentday.global/get-involved/world-environment-day-mask-challenge

I would add that rather than just reducing your meat and dairy consumption, planning to gradually eliminate them while replacing that void with the best locally sourced and toxin-free produce (vegetables, grains and fruits) would be most beneficial to all life on Earth.

Have a look at the Food Target PDF for more info on how this can help you, other animals and the whole planet.

ON A FINAL NOTE: If you are into observing international celebrations, you’ll also want to pay attention to this date coming up soon:

Air pollution is the theme for World Environment Day on 5 June 2019. The quality of the air we breathe depends on the lifestyle choices we make every day.
